Fresh duck eggs

Small flock. Big personality.
Meet Alford Ducks: a welfare-led little duck business for fresh eggs, rare breeds, ducklings and people who want to learn more about these brilliant birds.
The Alford Ducks Project
Our next big ambition is to secure land in Greater Manchester and create a carefully managed duck park: a safe home for rare and heritage ducks, wetland planting and hands-on learning.
On planned education days, people could meet the ducks up close, learn how welfare and hatching work, and — where eggs are genuinely available — start or add to their own flock with responsibly bred hatching eggs.
Future project: land has not been secured yet. We are looking for land, partners, materials and funding support.

Current flock update
The flock is currently coming through a moult, so fresh and hatching eggs are limited. Join the list now; we only confirm availability and take payment once eggs are genuinely ready.

Manchester egg & hatch list
Egg numbers move with the flock, especially during a moult. This is a simple heads-up list, not a paid subscription, reservation or promise that you have to buy.
The Alford Promise
A small flock lets us keep things personal: honest availability, real photos, practical advice and a careful match for every egg or bird.
The gallery, flock film and hatch stories come from Alford Ducks or named customers who shared them.
Laying, moulting and growing happen on the flock's timetable. We confirm what is genuinely ready before arranging anything.
Before birds move, we talk through your space, existing flock and the right route for the birds.

Duck school
Start here before you bring ducks home — they are clever, messy, social and far more entertaining than most people expect.
Ducks are very social. A happy flock needs duck friends, not a lonely life on its own.
Ducks need fresh, clean water deep enough to rinse their eyes and bills. Keep it clean and top it up often.
